The Quran Printing and Publication Organization of Kuwait has published the translations, Al-Ray reported.
The translation was done in cooperation with Kuwait’s ministry of foreign affairs, head of the organization Fahd al-Dihani said.
The translations are going to be distributed in Sweden, he stated.
The move is aimed at emphasizing the culture of tolerance in Islam and promoting the Islamic values and principles.
Development of peaceful coexistence and combating hate, extremism and religious discrimination are among other objectives of the initiative, he added.
According to Al-Dihani, Kuwait has made a lot of efforts since long ago to promote the Quran and Quranic sciences.
This comes amid widespread condemnation of the recent Quran desecration in Sweden.
On June 29, a 37-year-old individual named Salwan Momika burned pages of the Quran outside a mosque in Stockholm on the first day of Eid al-Adha.
The Swedish police had earlier given permission for the act of sacrilege.
The act sparked widespread outrage among Muslims worldwide and drew condemnation from different countries.
Pope Francis, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the European Union, and the Swedish government also strongly condemned the incident.
